Description

Wallflower is the name of a plant with delicate orange or yellow blossoms that often grows along old walls or cliffs.


A wallflower is also a quiet, antisocial person who acts shy at parties. Girls who get called wallflowers are often pretty and mysterious. The term was originally used to refer to girls that would not be asked for a dance. More recently the term has been expanded to include men and to include other social gatherings than dances.


If you are a wallflower, most likely you;

  • generally only wear dark or neutral colours
  • wander off in your mind even when people are talking to you
  • enjoy your alone time (more than being with your friends)
  • move around, swinging your head, after your friends dragged you to the dance floor
  • can be socially awkward at times, confusing or frustrating people around you
  • don’t see the need to fill silent gaps with small talk
  • … are an awesome abstract art painter 😉
