"Crossroads Blues" is a blues song written and recorded by American delta-blues artist Robert Johnson in 1936. I was listening to a version of Cyndy Lauper while painting this canvas and adopted the crossroads as title.

The story goes that Robert Johnson supposedly sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for his musical talents, although the lyrics in Crossroads do not contain any specific reference to that.  I guess “nahhh, no he didn’t need it ūüėČ”.

Wondering if would make a deal with the devil if he would grant me in return absolute artistic talent. Then looked at the painting and thought “nahhh, no need ūüėČ”.
