In December the booklet “my view on art” was published.

In this entertaining and visually attractive must-have, 28 visual artists show their work and share their motivation, thinking and doing.

Because all 28 artists show 1 to 3 works of art accompanied by their view on art, an interesting insight is given into how the artist himself looks upon art. I present 3 recent works of art, accompanied by my personal View on art.

The booklet, in Dutch, is available for €9.95.

The 11th edition of the National Art Days took place on November 6 & 7, 2021.

National Art Days - Enjoy a fun day out!

On Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November 2021, the National Art Days took place in Next Level/Evenementenhal Gorinchem.

Together with about 200 orther artists, I exhibited several of my latest artworks at this art fair which has a very informal atmosphere.

October 1, 2021 - Opening Continuous Exhibition at Pure Sit Zitmeubelen

A collection of the inspiring works of art by John DutchArt can now also be seen in a living room set-up in the showrom of Pure Sit Zitmeubelen in Venlo.

Pure Sit Seating is specialised in attractive corner sofa arrangements. In the stylishly furnished showroom, approximately 30 modern, luxurious living room furnishings are on display. In combination with the modern abstract paintings of John DutchArt.

November 6-14, 2021 - World Art Week

John DutchArt is participating artist of World Art Week 2021.

During one week, all over the world, art museums, galleries and individual artists pay extra attention to contemporary art, applied art, design and old masters.

Many museums offer extra activities during this week. And you are welcome - by appointment - in my studio and gallery in Eindhoven, with attractive offers this week.

February 1 - March 4, 2022 - Exhibition URBANSIDE Gallery Zurich

John DutchArt participates in the ARTBOX.PROJECT World 2.0 Exhibition which takes place at the URBANSIDE Gallery Zurich and worldwide on ARTSY internet art platform.

The URBANSIDE Gallery exhibits new works of art by emerging artists from all over the world.

The exhibition will start on 1 February 2022 and run until 4 March 2022 at Giessereistrasse 1, 8005 Zürich, Switzerland.

February 2022 - The Akun as new payment method

The Akun is a new Dutch payment method introduced in 2022. A means of payment with which art and art-related matters can be (partly) paid for.

Initially, Akun art notes of 2, 5 and 10 Akun are in circulation. After that, 1 and 20 Akun notes are added to the series of Akun art notes.

An Akun has the value of €0,10.

An Akun Art Note of 5 Akun is therefore worth 50 Euro cents.

The Akun is not legal tender, but it does have a fixed value linked to the euro.

Akun notes are available in two sizes and six different colours.
The 1, 2 and 5 Akun notes are the same size as a 10 euro note. The Akun art notes with a denomination of 10, 20 and 50 Akun are the same size as a 50 euro note.

More than 200,000 Akun notes will be put into circulation in 2022, each with a unique number.

The value of the Akun is guaranteed by the Art Association JaKunst, part of the First Art Group B.V.

Akun art notes are valid for 3 years from the year of issue indicated on each note.

March 2022 - April 2023 - Paintings of John DutchArt at Hilton Hotels in Europe

At the end of 2021 I discussed with the art curator of the Hilton the opportunity to present my art at their hotels. During those meetings we also discussed preferred structure, style and colour schemes for the paintings that will go to the Hilton. So that the paintings best reflect the design and style of the Hilton.

The first of these modern abstract paitings, rich of techniques, with bright colours and strong contrast, are now on display at the reception desk of the Hilton Düsseldorf.

Until April 2023 you can find my art at various Hilton Hotels all over Europe.

For the benefit auction of KiKa, in the run-up to the KiKa marathon in London, I made 3 paintings from the Good Food Cooking series available.

The auction will start online on April 1 and will run until June 10 2022 via this link. On Saturday 11 June from 4 pm the auction will continue “live” at the Center for the Arts Eindhoven during a benefit afternoon for the KiKa Foundation.

News that I am very proud of, and feel honoured by!

My painting “Brazilian Kiss” has been chosen by the art committee of JaKunst to be printed on the front of the Art Gift Voucher, with the message to me "because of the quality of your work".

Something I'm obviously very proud of.

The Art Gift Voucher has a value of € 10 and will be in circulation from March 2023. Initially, 5000 copies of the voucher will be printed.

Art lovers can use their Art Gift Vouchers at affiliated artists to buy beautiful art.
