Description

Mindanao, the second largest island in the Philippines, is an enchanting place with volcanic mountains hidden by tropical plants, landing on white and pink sand beaches.

In the beginning of 2023 I visited the Surigao Province, which is well known by surfers for it’s great waves.

I saw panoramic islands with long stretches of pristine white sand beaches, mystical caves, vast mangrove forest and under water sceneries.

It made a beautiful inspiration for this painting.

Mixed media on wood panel, 50cm x 35cm x 1cm.
